Kimmeridge Carbon Solutions and Storegga have joined forces to identify, develop, and deploy large-scale carbon capture, utilisation, and storage projects, starting with one in Wyoming.
The partnership’s first project location, Wyoming, is a state with Class VI primacy, suitable subsurface geology, and industrial emitters looking to decarbonise.
While working in the state, the partnership will also explore concepts proximal to locations where Kimmeridge has active hydrocarbon projects.
Henry Makansi, Managing Partner at Kimmeridge, described CCUS as a critical tool in reducing carbon emissions, particularly in difficult-to-abate sectors.
