Kintetsu World Express and Shell Aviation sign SAF deal 


Japan logistics operator Kintetsu World Express [KWE] has entered into a sustainable aviation fuels [SAF] agreement with Shell Aviation. 

Under this agreement, KWE will adopt Shell Aviation’s digital platform Avelia.

Doris Tan, Head of Shell Aviation, Asia Pacific and Middle East, said, “Through Avelia, we aim to accelerate SAF adoption and provide companies like KWE with a clear, scalable pathway to credible life cycle GHG emissions reductions from aviation.” 

Tatsuya Narasaki, Managing Officer at Kintetsu World Express, said it has identified the reduction of CO2 emissions and promotion of renewable energy use as key sustainability challenges and SAF is a key component.
