Measurement instrument manufacturer KROHNE has announced the availability of several OPTIMASS Coriolis mass flow sensors with the latest version of the compact of field mounted MFC 400 convertors.
Specifically, the US-based company has said its OPTIMASS 6000, OPTIMASS 7000, OPTIMASS 1000, and OPTIMASS 2000 flow meters are available with the enhancement to help provide exact and repeatable measurements for various hydrocarbon-based products.
The flowmeters maintain operation over a wide range of gas volume fractions, even up to 100% with Entrained Gas Management (EGM™). This permits the meter to operate in the presence of complex or unexpected multiphase flowing conditions.
In upstream oil and gas well site applications, the OPTIMASS’ EGM capabilities maintain accurate and reliable production measurement by withstanding the dynamic flowing conditions that might cause excess gas or water to come up alongside oil from a separator.
