Hangzhou Fortune have just announced that they have received an order for the largest single nitrogen generation unit of 56,000 Nm3/h, the largest of its kind in Asia to date.
The unit is to be installed at the Qinghai Ganhe Industrial Park and to supply nitrogen to a project that produces olefins from tail gas.
The unit, scheduled to be commissioned in November this year, will feature a 65000 Nm/h air booster-turboexpander which is also the largest to be used in a nitrogen generator in China. The press release also mentions that the process has been optimized and a new technology is applied so that the air flow of the air compressor is reduced. The generation unit will also produce 30 tonnes of liquid nitrogen each day and a storage and back up vaporization system will be included in the scope of supply to ensure a continuous nitrogen supply to the project.
