Lhyfe launches new digital platform ‘Lhyfe Heroes’

Green and renewable hydrogen specialist Lhyfe has launched an online platform designed for project owners looking to either implement hydrogen solutions or are already in the process of switching to hydrogen and looking for suppliers.

Intended to support the efforts made by companies spearheading green hydrogen, the platform, ‘Lhyfe Heroes’, aims to bring together major players to create a ‘complete ecosystem’ consisting of hydrogen producers, fuel station developers, fuel distributors, vehicle manufacturers and more.

So far, the project has been joined by automotive manufacturer Stellantis, Portuguese hydrogen station developer PRF and the motorsport company GCK.

By applying its simulator’s integrated calculation system, the company states that its platform can provide an indication of ‘key project metrics’ such as the amount of CO2 avoided, quantity of hydrogen required a year and refuelling time for the type of vehicle concerned.

Based upon the operation’s needs, the platform will allow users to select a range of products and solutions that match its ‘identified needs’, including vehicles, fuel stations, hydrogen generators and producers of green and renewable hydrogen.

It will also enable connections to be made with manufacturers of hydrogen vehicles, fuel station developers, hydrogen generator suppliers and hydrogen producers.

“Lhyfe Heroes is an extremely welcome initiative – as manufacturers and producers, we all face the same obstacles concerning the complexity of moving forward in a sector very much under construction,” said Peter Kuhn, in charge of hydrogen development at Stellantis (Citroën, Peugeot and Opel).

Currently free for all users, the platform features a listing of around 100 or so solutions already available on the market. According to Lhyfe, suppliers can register to become a partner to allow them to edit the content of their ‘Supplier’ profile and add their products.

After becoming a partner, suppliers can receive request from potential customers who are interested in their products.

Explaining that the platform was designed to save time for the entire value chain, Matthieu Guesné, Founder and CEO of Lhyfe, added, “At Lhyfe, we have an obsession with moving fast because energy transition needs to happen now.”

“We call upon all players in the hydrogen chain to come and list themselves to speed up hydrogen transition and reduce our carbon emissions as quickly as possible.”

Having launched its first renewable green hydrogen industrial production site in the second half of 2021, Lhyfe now has a commercial pipeline representing a total production capacity of 9.8GW (gigawatts) by 2030.
