The weakened welding machines and equipment market could be set for an unlikely boost, if funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act’s State Energy Programme is anything to go by.
It seems that the development of new solar and wind projects could spark production of associated welding solutions, even on the slightest of levels.
How do we know this? Leading US welding equipment and consumables company Lincoln Electric witnessed Ohio Governor Ted Strickland announce that 25 Ohio solar and wind projects will receive more than $13m in grants funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act’s State Energy Program.
The announcement was made at Lincoln Electric’s Automation Center of Excellence in Cleveland last November, highlighting the company’s welding solutions for wind tower fabricators.
