Linde achieves top score for tackling water security


Global gas company Linde has been recognised by environmental non-profit organisation CDP for its efforts to tackle water security.

On a scale of ‘A’ being the highest, ’D’ the lowest, Linde is one of a select few to achieve the top score, as well as receiving an ’A-’ for its approach to climate change. 

CDP, which represents over $110tn in assets to measure companies’ risks and opportunities on climate change, water security and deforestation, assessed nearly 12,000 companies using this a comprehensive analysis method which takes into account disclosure, awareness and management of environmental risks. 

Tamara Brown, Vice President Sustainability at Linde, called responsible management of water a ‘key element’ of Linde’s sustainability strategy, adding, “We are honoured to be recognised as one of few companies leading the way in stewardship, transparency and impact.
