Linde breaks ground for largest liquid producing ASU in Bangladesh


Linde Bangladesh, part of Tier One player The Linde Group, has officially started construction of the company’s new air separation unit (ASU) in Rupganj.

The plant, costing an estimated BDT 1.2bn ($15m), is expected to be completed in 2017 and will produce approximately 100 tonnes per day (tpd) of liquefied gases – making it the largest liquid producing ASU in Bangladesh.

The addition of this new facility will more than double Linde Bangladesh’s current production capacity, strengthening Linde’s position at the leading gases player in the South Asian country.
