Linde in long-term contract to supply hydrogen and methane to Evonik
A new deal has been signed by Linde Gas Singapore, member of The Linde Group, to invest in a new gases facility for Evonik Methionine SEA’s second methionine complex in Singapore.
Under the long-term supply contract, the industrial gas corporation will build and operate a steam methane reformer (SMR) to supply Evonik with hydrogen (H2) at its Jurong Island location.
The steam reformer will feature carbon dioxide (CO2) recovery technology to limit carbon emissions. Linde will also integrate its methane pressure swing adsorption (PSA) system into the site.
