Linde North America wins EPA Protocol

Linde North America is one of few companies to have successfully passed an audit by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The audit concerned the production and supply of gases used to calibrate instruments as well as those used in emissions testing.

Steve Mandel, Head of Environmental and Calibration Products for Linde North America commented, “We believe EPA’s published results for 2010 validate the quality, accuracy and consistency of our SPECTRA brand EPA Protocol gases.”

Linde produces EPA Protocol gases at its plant in Alpha, New Jersey, under its SPECTRA® brand name as part of Linde’s HiQ® speciality gases range. The Alpha facility reflects Linde’s rigorous standards, having passed every Protocol gas audit that the EPA has ever conducted.

Mandel continued, “Not every specialty gas producer passed the audit. It’s a rigorous test that verifies the quality of our production process. We’ve been producing these gases for many years and our customers can continue to feel confident that Linde’s gases will assure the accuracy of their emission testing results.”
