Linde has launched its latest cold spraying gas supply solution which it says will ‘significantly enhance’ the reliability and safety of the cold spraying process.
The solution, known as LINSPRAY Connect, was developed with German cold spraying technology firm Impact Innovations (Impact) – a company which supports customers in industries as varied as automotive, cookware, aerospace and nuclear.
Cold spraying is when microscopic powdered particles of metal or other solids are injected into a supersonic jet of rapidly expanding gas before being shot at a target surface.
These particles hit the surface at between 500 – 1,500 metres per second, ensuring a tight bond between the coating and the substrate.
