Mexico Pacific LNG site receives government support

The Government of the State of Sonora has signed a collaboration agreement with energy supplier Mexico Pacific in support of the Saguaro Energía LNG export facility in Puerto Libertad, Mexico.

Mexico Pacific’s anchor project, Saguaro Energía will be a 14.1 million tonnes per annum site. The project has access to the Permian Basin, which has more than 600 trillion cubic feet of natural gas resources remaining.

The Saguaro Energía LNG project was welcomed as the foundational pillar of the Sonora Plan, a clean energy infrastructure and nearshoring initiative announced by the Mexican government.
