New Fortress Energy nears first offshore LNG production in Mexico
New Fortress Energy expects to produce its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) at its Fast LNG unit, located offshore Altamira, Mexico, in the coming days.
The US-based energy specialist recently confirmed the news, stating that it has made “tremendous progress” on its path towards the start-up of operations.
Additionally, New Fortress Energy has also said it expects the first cargo shipment to happen in July.
In a statement, New Fortress Energy said, “The work necessary to begin operations is complete, and the company has also completed the full remainder of pre-commissioning activities.”
