Airgas, Inc’s speciality gases facility in Albuquerque has been awarded the ISO certification for quality management systems.
The New Mexico facility is operated by Airgas Southwest and was recently awarded the ISO 9001:2008 certification for quality management systems. The accolade was distributed by an accredited third-party registrar, Quality Systems Registrars, Inc.
The title indicates that the facility meets all of the requirements set out in ISO 9001:2008 clause 4.1 standard. Specifically it requires an organisation to “establish, document, implement, and maintain a quality management system and continually improve its effectiveness in accordance with the requirements of this International Standard.$quot;
Airgas currently enjoys ISO accreditation across 55 speciality gas plants. Brent Sparks, President of Airgas Southwest was delighted with the latest addition to this list. He said, “We are proud to have received this certification from QSR in recognition of Airgas Southwest’s Albuquerque specialty gases facility. The certification reflects Airgas’ dedication to consistently producing products that both meet regulatory requirements and enhance customer satisfaction.”
The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies from more than 140 countries, one from each country.
