Nikkiso and WestAir to develop hybrid hydrogen station in California


Energy solutions specialist Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group (Nikkiso CE&IG) and industrial gas distributor WestAir have partnered to develop a hybrid hydrogen trailer and fuelling station.

Located near the Port of Long Beach – one of the busiest seaports in the US – the station is designed to reduce boil-off gas losses to near zero, fuel vehicles directly through an H35 dispenser, and fill trailers for onward distribution.

The dual-function design helps to minimise hydrogen loss and supports flexible distribution across the region.

Nikkiso CE&IG and WestAir hope the multi-use station will help build momentum behind southern California’s hydrogen market.
