North America is expected to witness the highest small-scale LNG liquefaction capacity additions globally during 2023-2027, contributing about 32% of the total global small-scale LNG liquefaction capacity additions by 2027.
That according to data and analysis company GlobalData that expects the region to witness a total small-scale LNG capacity addition of 4,710 thousand tonnes per annum by 2027.
Bhargavi Gandham, Oil and Gas Analyst at GlobalData, adds that the US dominates capacity additions in the region, accounting for over 87% of the small-scale LNG liquefaction additions through 2027.
