Carbon dioxide production and markets are in the spotlight in Nashville this week, with gasworld’s North American CO2 Summit under way.
The conference sessions for the 2.5-day event, held at the Sheraton Grand Nashville Downtown, kick off this morning, with the opening keynote from Abydee Butler Moore of Butler Gas Products, speaking on customers and the CO2 ecosystem.
Butler’s presentation is followed by a busy morning of activity, with another ten sessions in the mix. Maura Garvey of Intelligas Consulting is slated to give a detailed presentation on CO2 supply chains and how they are transforming right now, with new sources coming online while some supplies fall away. What does the future of CO2 supply look like in a changing world?
Other speakers include CO2 consultant Bruce Woerner, shining a light on the impact of the energy transition and how carbon capture is changing some of the dynamics of the merchant CO2 marketplace. Dr Ashley Pennington from the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency is also speaking. Pennington’s session looks at critical infrastructure and CO2 and explains CISA’s role.
