Plug Power has signed a contract to supply a multinational industry gas company with five cryogenic trailers for the Canadian market.
The New York-based business expects to deliver the trailers in early 2025. They will support the transportation of cryogenic gases such as nitrogen, argon, and oxygen.
Keeping its trailer business strong, Plug has also been tapped by another industrial gas company for the supply of eight additional trailers for the US and Canadian markets.
Delivery of those trailers is expected in the latter half of 2025.
Andy Marsh, CEO of Plug Power, said the company is successfully building long-term strategic partnerships with customers and supporting their need to get their gas products to market through liquefaction and truck trailer transportation.
In addition to the above, Plug has also signed a deal with a state-wide electricity utility company for the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) cryogenic mobile storage equipment, designed for storing and dispensing cryogenic LNG.
Plug has recently been expanding its cryogenic equipment services internationally. As part of this increase focused on the cryogenic equipment space, Plug acquired Applied Cryo Technologies in 2021, adding its technology, equipment, and services to its portfolio.

At the time of writing, Plug believes its cryogenic trailers to be the lightest on the market.
