Porvair Filtration Group unveils new HEPA filters
Porvair Filtration Group has engineered a patented, validated range of high strength, radical flow high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters.
Developed in response to challenge demands from the US Department of Energy, the filters are capable of handling large volumes of gases at high differential pressures in high humidity environments.
Within large volume settings, HEPA air filtration systems circulate air in a laminar flow environment, and therefore remove any airborne contamination before it is re-circulated back into the environment.

The patented high-strength HEPA filters can be retrofit into existing installations, ensuring optimum air conditions and a contamination-free environment in many commercial settings. Typical applications include:
- High Volume Commercial and Residential: HVAC HEPA filters are an essential part of any overall air quality hygiene regime and are available in self-contained, retrofit and portable HVAC systems.
- Industrial HVAC: The purification of the immediate environment in which critical prosses are being carried out such as microelectronics fabrication and biopharmaceuticals production.
- Nuclear: The removal of radioactive particulate emitted during vitrification and other containment processes of nuclear waste thereby preventing contamination of the atmosphere.
Commenting of the new filters, Trevor Waghorn, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing, said, “This high strength, high flow, range of industrial HEPA filters has been specifically designed in conjunction with the US DOE and a major US EPC firm to handle high exchange rates.”
“The constant circulation and cleansing of the air we breathe should be a critical part of any holistic COVID-19 protection regime.”
