Following increased fourth quarter and full-year 2010 fiscal results; Praxair has announced a quarterly dividend during the first quarter of 2011.
The Board of Directors at Praxair, Inc, has declared a quarterly dividend of 50 cents per share. This reflects an 11% increase from 45 cents per share in the previous quarter. The dividend is payable on 15th March 2011 to shareholders of record on 7th March 2011. This year’s annual dividend increase reflects the 18th consecutive annual dividend increase for Praxair.
Chairman and CEO for the firm, Steve Angel, remarked, “This increase reflects the board’s confidence in Praxair’s continuing ability to generate profitable growth in the global marketplace and through the economic cycles.”
Praxair represents one of the largest industrial gases companies in the world. Indeed, 2010 saw sales of $10bn. The North American company produces, sells and distributes atmospheric and process gases, as well as high-performance surface coatings.
