SOL Group joins Andion in €20m+ bioLNG plant project with offtake deal

Italian multinational SOL Group has acquired a 20% stake in Biomethan Green 1, a company controlled by Andion Italy that is developing a liquefied biomethane (bioLNG) plant in Mirandola, Italy, as part of a project with a total investment exceeding €20m. The deal grants SOL exclusive offtake rights for the plant’s output.

Andion Italy is the local subsidiary of Andion CH4 Renewables, a European platform specialising in the conversion of agricultural and livestock by-products and organic waste into renewable energy.

Under the agreement, SOL Group will distribute the bioLNG produced at the site across Italy and Europe.

“[This] is an initiative that confirms our commitment to a more responsible and sustainable future, in line with the values that have always distinguished us,” said Daniele Forni, General Director of Technical Gases at the SOL Group.
