Stortec wins food waste-to-energy digesters order in Australia
Specialist contractor Stortec Engineering has won an order to design and build digesters and hydrolysis tank for a food waste-to-energy facility in Australia.
The company claims its Ultrastore stainless steel tanks offer extended asset life with 85% made from recycled material.
The 4,000 cubic metre digesters will be fitted with Landia’s externally mounted GasMix mixing system, which has been applied to an anaerobic digestion site near Perth in Western Australia.
For the hydrolysis tank, Stortec has selected the Landia JetMix system (with specially configured jetting nozzles), which will be employed for food waste with dissolved solids (DS) of 16% and a pH of 5-8.
