Venture Global LNG has received a positive final impact statement (FEID) from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for its CP2 LNG project.
The environmental nod puts Venture Global LNG on track for a commission vote and the start of construction later this year (2023).
Mike Sabel, CEO of Venture Global LNG, thanked the commission and other cooperating National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) agencies for their work to complete the FEIS for CP2 LNG.
He added, “CP2 continues to have robust commercial and financial momentum with approximately half of the project already sold out.”
