Suretank, a specialist in cargo carrying units for the global oil and gas industry, has launched a new 10ft Offshore Cryogenic tank.
The latest release comes in response to high customer demand for a fully DNV certified offshore nitrogen tank. Consequently, at the beginning of 2011, Suretank unveiled its 10ft Offshore Cryogenic tank, the ‘SC 2000’. Indeed, demand for the release stretches as far as Western Australia where four units are already on route and a further six in production.
According to manufacturing firm, Suretank, the new unit is designed to ‘set new standards’ across a range of criteria; from enhanced product carrying capacity to higher working pressure; the SC 2000 promises to extend offer benefits across all levels.
Indeed the device meets numerous global standards in keeping with its worldwide application. The design standards include: EN 13530-2, ASME VIII Div 1, ADR/RID, IMDG, UN Portable Tank T75, TPED, US DOT CFR 49, Worksafe (Western Australia), DNV 2.7-1, EN 12079, ISO 1496-3, CSC, and TIR.
But it’s not just the design that has been lauded; in fact the tank has been certified for the safe transportation of LIN, LOX and LAR, by road, rail and sea. And with industry standard cryogenic valves by Herose and Rego, it is perhaps no surprise.
Added benefits and optional extras
The device also benefits from cannily designed removable bolt-down vessel and pipe work, which enable ease of maintenance. Likewise, the SC 2000 comes with a number of optional additions; namely a full stainless steel outer vessel, while the valves, pipe work, paint work and logo can all be designed and fitted to meet the customer’s specific needs.
Intelligent design, direct from Ireland
Suretank’s new cryogenic manufacturing facility is situated adjacent to the company’s headquarters in Dunleer, County Louth, Ireland. As such it is able to utilise the existing chemical, acid and helifuel manufacturing lines in its nearby headquarters. Indeed, the firm is so product-assured that Suretank opens its doors to inspection from both customers and suppliers.
Suretank, established in 1995, is now a worldwide manufacturer benefiting from modern production facilities in Ireland, UK, Poland, Thailand and China. Suretank has been certified by the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) and operates to ISO 9001:2008. Likewise, the firm is fully ASME (U Stamp) and DNV accredited, and is registered under the Achilles JQS scheme as a recognised supplier to the oil and gas industry for Norway and Denmark.
