John Arthur (Jack) Toepke, 74, passed away on Sunday the 16th April 2017. Living for many years in the central Florida area at Bay Hill, Jack was a lifetime member of the Bay Hill Country Club.
At the time of his death he lived in Grayson, Georgia, where he was Chairman and CEO for TOMCO2 Systems, a major leader in the CO2 industry.
He was directly involved with TOMCO2 Systems since its formation in 1970 and with its former parent company, Carbonic Industries Corporation.
Jack was born in 1942 in Oak Park, Illinois, and was a passionate and Die-Hard Chicago Cubs fan his entire life. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Spring Hill College, Mobile, Alabama in 1964.
He was an enthusiastic golfer, and had at one time considered becoming a professional golfer. He also loved to water ski and snow ski. His most recent passion was gardening.
He will be remembered for his great generosity to his family and his community. Jack is survived by his spouse Freda Toepke, his sons Jack Jr. and Jim, his daughter and son-in-law, Joleen and Doyle Kirkland, their mother, Jane and his two granddaughters Meghan and Greta Kirkland.
