Honeywell’s Bluetooth low energy technology enables users to install, commission and maintain their Sensepoint XRL gas detector from the palm of their hand.
The detector monitors industrial operations for specific hazardous gases, such as carbon monoxide or methane, and by leveraging Bluetooth connectivity, can be set-up and maintained remotely using a smartphone app.
Users can adjust set points and check fault codes from up to 10 meters away. System reports necessary for safety and environmental regulatory compliance can also be produced.
Sensepoint XRL is certified for explosive area applications, and is suitable for wastewater, utilities, power generation, laboratories, and downstream oil and gas operations and applications.
Honeywell, developer, manufacturer and supplier of refrigerants, has announced that Tesco, one of the world’s largest supermarket chains, is converting more than 1,200 stores across the UK to Honeywell’s Solstice ® N40 refrigerant in order to meet its carbon reduction commitments.
International Gas Detectors (IGD) have launched the TOC-625 Micro, a multi-channel gas detection system which can be configured with up to six gas detectors and two relay output modules.
Month on month the gasworld website continues to be the primary portal for information, on a global scale, about our industry - be it through the provision of news and features, or information in the expansive company directory section. Launched in 2004, it is the only independent online news provider and information portal for the global industrial gas community and the larger end-user markets. The website also now incorporates news for gasworld US and Specialty Gas Report.
