ThyssenKrupp’s needs met thanks to Praxair’s new Alabama ASU

Praxair, Inc. has constructed a new air separation unit (ASU) with 400 tons per day capacity in Alabama.

Praxair’s latest ASU will supply industrial gases to ThyssenKrupp’s innovative stainless steel production facility in Mobile, Alabama. In addition, the ASU will also provide liquefied industrial gases for the growing customer base in the region.

Kevin Foti, Vice President for the East Region of Praxair’s North American Industrial Gases business unit described the move as regionally ‘strengthening’. He commented, “Praxair is providing a cost-effective energy efficient plant to support ThyssenKrupp’s investment in new steel capacity in the southeastern United States.$quot;

He added, “This new plant also further strengthens Praxair’s strong presence in the lower Alabama and Gulf States region.”
