Taiyo Nippon Sanso Corporation (TNSC) has signed a gas supply agreement with Long Son Petrochemicals Co. for the supply of nitrogen (N2) with Long Son Island in the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province of Vietnam.

The Long Son Petrochemical Complex Project has been carried forward by the Siam Cement Public Group (SCG), and SCG’s group company LSP has determined the construction of the petrochemical plant.

TNSC has signed the gas supply agreement with LSP to supply N2 to LSP via a pipeline, and through its Vietnamese subsidiary, the Vietnam Japan Gas Joint Stock Company (VJG), TNSC is now planning to construct an ASU and sell liquefied gas to customers in the surrounding market.

The Vietnam Government is inviting foreign companies to enter the Vietnamese market where there is a high economic growth rate and where industrial gas demand is expected to increase.

TNSC currently operates its industrial gas business in Vietnam through VJG with five manufacturing factories and three sales offices established in both the northern and southern regions of Vietnam.

VJG has already decided to construct another ASU, which will come on-stream in mid-2019, in the Phu My 3 Industrial Park in the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province of Vietnam. VJG intends to expand its market presence throughout all of Vietnam through these new projects.
