Face-to-face trade events return for the industrial gas industry in the US today (24th May) with the start of the Gases and Welding Distributors Association (GAWDA) Spring Management Conference (SMC).
Both GAWDA’s major events last year, the SMC and the Annual Convention, were cancelled along with all trade events around the world due to restrictions to stop the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19).
More than 600 members and guests will be at the event held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville for the popular booth programme and the chance to network, to hear keynote speakers and educational sessions.
Ben Glazer, President, Praxair Distribution Inc. (PDI), Global Helium & Rare Gases and Latin American will be one of the keynote speakers.
Bill Proctor (nexAir), Will Roberts (Roberts Oxygen), Colleen Kohler (Noble Gas Solutions), Jack Butler (Butler Gas), and Allison Earlbeck (Earlbeck Gases and Technologies) are some of the industry figures delivering educational sessions.
It will be the first trade event the industry has seen in the US for more than a year, and gasworld will have a recap from Maura Garvey in Nashville later in the week.
