From April 1st 2005, two separate subsidiaries of TNSC will merge to increase their competitiveness in their home market.

The merger between Dia Reiki Kogyo and Nissan Kogyo is part of a three-year strategy mapped out by the president of TNSC, Hiroshi Taguchi. The move will optimise efficiency levels between the assets of the recent merger between Nippon Sanso and Taiyo Toyo Sanso.

The Headquarters of Dia Reiki Kogyo are based in Sakai City and the main offices of Nissan Kogyo are in Yokohama. Once they have merged, construction will begin on the Sakai site of a new manufacturing plant for cryogenic gas equipment.

Both companies share common products and technologies, including cold evaporators and dedicated tank trunks for the transport of liquefied gases. Both companies also have their unique products, for example Dai Reiki Kogyo boasts a strong line up in small-refrigerated containers and Nissan Kogyo produces unique evaporators.

The management of TNSC say they are confident that the move will put the new company in an unrivalled position within the Japanese market for gas-related cryogenic equipment.

The newly merged company will be based at the Dia Reiko Kogyo Head office. The president has been announced as Kiyonori Okumura (currently president of Dia Reiki Kogyo), and Executive Vice President will be Kenichi Hamachi (current president of Nissan Kogyo).
