Rotarex Firetec, a business unit of Luxembourg-based Rotarex SA, has released a new complete set of components for inert gas fire protection into the US market.
The INEREX® component systems use constant flow pressure regulator technology to modulate discharge pressure to a constant 40-60 bar. This low-pressure manifold enables simpler venting and pipework and helps prevent freeze ups and potential explosive discharge forces, thus lowering costs and improving safety.
Additionally, functional tests can still be carried out whilst the system is armed, and after a system discharge the apparatus does not need to be reconditioned.
Charles Strobel, Global Marketing Manager at Firetec’s parent company, Rotarex, outlined, “Inert gas is a true clean agent that is completely natural – it fights fire using gases like nitrogen (N2) and argon (Ar) that are extracted from the air we breathe.”
“Many facilities prefer inert gas systems to chemical clean agents because of their safety and superior environmental profile. Inert gas is non-reactive, has no toxic by-products, leaves no residue and is completely safe for humans.”
Compatible with all inert gas types, INEREX has been designed to handle 200-300 bar inert gas total flooding and has officially been certified by the Underwriters Laboratory (UL) following the necessary compatibility and performance testing.
