Vaisala has released a series of free informative webinars and seminars about ways to manage humidity within the industrial gases sector.
Webinars
Finnish owned, Vaisala, is targeting professionals in pharmaceutical, biotech and other life science companies. The series of webinars, dubbed ‘Humidity 101’ will offer ways to cope with humidity measurement problems and maintain full regulatory compliance. Specific topics include:
• Humidity theory
• Terms and definitions
• Humidity sensor technology – tutorial
• Best practices in humidity measurement
• Calibration of the humidity measurement in regulated environments
National Humidity Instructor for Vaisala, commented, “Humidity is one of the more difficult measurements to make and has been known to cause problems throughout the highly regulated life sciences industries. The first step towards dealing with and compensating for the problems caused by humidity is to understand the properties and definitions so that a proper, reliable, and repeatable measurement can be obtained. Humidity 101 is designed to be educational in nature and covers topics such as humidity definitions and theory, psychometrics, calibration, good measurement practice, and specific training on the use of the Vaisala HUMICAP technology.”

Seminars
The seminars will tackle similar topics to the webinars and promise to provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of humidity and the measurement principles related to humidity. As with all webinars, delegates may attend the ‘Humidity 201’ seminars free of charge.
The day-long course will be held at various venues across North America between now and December and interested parties are encouraged to register early as attendance is on a ‘first come first served’ basis. Vaisala Engineers will be on hand to offer discussion and information on topics including fundamental humidity theory and the practical aspects of technology, good measurement practice and calibration.
