VPInstruments BV, a gas monitoring solution specialist based in the Netherlands, has had its VPFlowScope in-line officially approved by the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) organisation.
A press release from the corporation indicated, “Since the introduction of the first VPFlowScope in 2007, the VPFlowScope product line has enabled numerous companies to save energy costs of their compressed air installation.”
The three-in-one device (left) comes with a Thermabridge® flow sensor, a solid state pressure sensor and a temperature sensor. The flow sensor enables the instrument to measure bi-directionally. In addition, its internal memory can store up to two million measuring values.
It can be integrated into compressed air or gas piping and operates at temperatures up to 60°C.
Applications for the VPFlowScope in-line include flow measurement in nitrogen (N2) generators, technical gas consumption monitoring and leakage detection.
Being UL listed signifies that UL has tested representative samples of the product and determined that it meets its requirements, which are based primarily on its published and nationally recognised standards for safety.
VPInstruments has introduced a new reliable and easy to use compression fitting and safety cable for all VPFlowCopes models of flow meters.
