Weldability-Sif brings Gas Inspector training to Britain

British company, Weldability-Sif, a provider of various welding solutions and products, recently announced several training courses to aid operatives in their transition to Gas Equipment Inspectors.
The courses last two days and specialise in Gas Inspection Training. All are currently being held at the company’s Training Centre in Letchworth Garden City and occur every alternative month.
After successful completion of the course, attendees will receive an EAL Certificate of Verified Achievement which is valid for three years and is recognised by an identity card and inspection pack. The certificate enables holders to inspect portable Oxy-fuel cutting and welding equipment and installations in accordance with the provision and use of work equipment Regulations 1998 and the British Compressed Gases Association (BGCA) code of practice 7.
Attendees will be taught how to test equipment across a variety of faculties; for functionality and safety, how to identify and safely replace non-compliant equipment, how to diagnose and prevent equipment problems, as well as the procedures for installing safe, compliant and leak-free equipment. Finally, pupils will learn how to manage a ‘Tagging’ system to enable and undertake annual inspections.
