Praxair Services has something big in store for customers in Fort McMurray, Canada, who need more liquid nitrogen.
Known affectionately as the ‘Whale’ it is a portable storage tank that can deliver 16,000 gallons of liquid nitrogen – more than two-and-a-half times that of a typical tank.
The Whale is specifically designed to supply the oil sands industry in Fort McMurray and will reduce the waiting time required to make deliveries, enhancing productivity and reliability – previously it would have taken around six hours to load a tank and drive from the closest nitrogen-filling station at Edmonton.
