The President and CEO of Adsorptech Inc., James Flaherty, has been appointed in a four-year term to the New Jersey District Export Council (NJDEC) after working with the organisation lead to significantly advancing the company’s exporting capabilities.

Flaherty explained the story that lead to his new position, which he will occupy until 2020. He said, “Not that long ago, Adsorptech was trying to enter the export market for the first time with a new oxygen (O2) production technology and was overwhelmed identifying what were the most urgent priorities to get going in a reasonable amount of time. By working immediately with the US Commercial Services and the NJDEC, years were shaved off Adsorptech’s successful export product launch.”

“With this learning curve fresh on my mind, it is now time to provide the lessons learned to those with similar export ambitions without a track record. An export focus is critical to US companies to achieve sustainable growth ambitions.”

Under his new appointment, Flaherty will contribute his leadership experience in support of the nation’s ongoing joint industry/government export expansion effort.

The NJDEC collaborates with businesses in the state of New Jersey and with public and private sector groups to stimulate economic growth through trade and investment.
