Air Liquide is set to mark the completion of a major upgrade to its industrial complex in Bayport, Texas, with a luncheon and inuaguration ceremony on April 27.
The world-scale industrial complex is located in the Bayport Industrial District, east of Houston. Redevelopment was first announced in 2013 and completed in February.
Total investment in the project topped $230 million, and among the upgraded assets were four energy-efficient cogeneration units, which now give the facility the ability to put out 300 mW of electricity and 1,300 tph of steam. An ASU and other infrastructure was also upgraded and expanded.
A groundbreaking at the facility was moved due to expected harsh weather, but the following are expected to speak at the ceremony:
- John Buckley, CEO of Air Liquide USA LLC
- Susan Ellerbusch, President, Air Liquide Large Industries U.S. LP
- Jim Guilfoyle, SVP, Global Intermediates & Derivatives/Global Subby Chain, LyondellBasell
- Cristina Womack, President/CEO, Pasadena Chamber of Commerce
New ceremony location: Water’s Edge 3901 NASA Parkway, El Lago, Texas 77586
