Air Liquide Industrial U.S. LP (Air Liquide) has announced that Joseph F. Cacciotti Jr. has retired after a ‘distinguished’ career with the company.
After more than 40 years of dedicated service, Cacciotti, Jr. – product supply manager – retired yesterday (31st August 2015).
He began his career in the industrial gas industry as a plant operator trainee at Big Three Industries in Bayport, Texas in 1972. Subsequent to L’Air Liquide S.A.’s purchase of Big Three in 1986, Cacciotti was responsible for establishing and managing the company’s National Scheduling Centre, its centralised logistics and planning operation for the US.
A respected authority in all aspects of production and distribution, Cacciotti also served as a mentor to many of his colleagues over the years, freely sharing his knowledge and expertise.
Cacciotti is also admired for his desire to develop new tools and processes that make the business more efficient and in 2005 received an award in the 100 Year Innovation Contest for his idea to place telemetry level controls on argon railcars as they travel to their destination.
In 2012, he received Air Liquide’s President’s Club Award for outstanding performance.
Air Liquide participates in the MX3D Bridge, the world’s first additive manufacturing project in Amsterdam.
