Atlas Copco has today (24th Jan) acquired Soft2tec GmbH.

Based in Germany, Soft2tec manufactures and delivers camera-based tracking systems used for operator guidance in the automotive, aerospace and general industries.

Soft2tec products are sold under the Nexonar brand name.

On the acquisition, Henrik Elmin, Business Area President Industrial Technique at Atlas Copco, said, “Tracking systems in combination with data collection helps our customers improve production quality and productivity.”

“The Nexonar products are complementary to our current offering and will strengthen our portfolio within smart manufacturing”.

Now acquired, Soft2tec will become part of the Desoutter Business Line within the Chicago Pneumatic Tools division, part of Atlas Copco’s Industrial Technique Business Area.

The purchase price was not disclosed.
