Air Liquide UK Managing Director Lucía Sainz de Mier has been selected as the British Compressed Gases Association’s (BCGA) new National President, bringing global experience to the role.
Taking over the reins from Tim Hulbert, Managing Director of Busch (UK), Sainz de Mier (pictured right) will work in close conjunction with BCGA Chief Executive Ellen Daniels under a two-year term of office.
Sainz de Mier holds a MSc in Chemical Engineering from universities in Spain and Belgium.
She is also an alumni of the Executive Education programmes at London Business School and CEIBS (China).
Starting her career at L’Oréal in France, Sainz de Mier joined Air Liquide in 2001 and has worked in key roles in Buenos Aires, Paris and Frankfurt, before moving to Birmingham in 2018 to take up the role of Air Liquide Managing Director UK.
Commenting on the new appointment, Ellen Daniels, BCGA Chief Executive, said, “The expertise and skills within our membership is one of our greatest strengths and Lucía has a wealth of experience to support the BCGA during her term in office.”
