The sustainability commitments by the industrial gases industry – and particularly those by the dominant majors and other large producers – are a matter of public record today, in a world where every organization has made Net Zero commitments as well as reporting on the metrics of sustainability progress every year.

In this context, the electricity consumed in the production of air gases is the single biggest contributor to the carbon footprint of industrial gas producers.
