Acme Cryogenics, North America’s leading manufacturer of cryogenic gas equipment and systems, has appointed industrial gas veteran David Fritz as its new CEO.
Having worked for Tier One giant Air Products for 37 years, Fritz brings extensive industry knowledge to his new role. Most recently, he held the position of Global Director, Operational Excellence at the US-based conglomerate.
The new boss stated, “It is an honour to join the Acme Cryogenics family. As a long-time customer of Acme during my time at Air Products, I feel privileged to lead a company and team known throughout the industry for the highest quality products, strong customer focus, and value-added services models.”
Fritz takes the helm from Joel Hansen who has served in the role for the past two years. A press release indicated that Hansen passed the baton to Fritz in order to pursue other professional opportunities, however he will remain in a transitional role for the next 90 days.
David Fritz arranged the acquisition of NES within two months of his new role as President and CEO. gasworld spoke to Fritz on what this means for the company going forwards.
Month on month the gasworld website continues to be the primary portal for information, on a global scale, about our industry - be it through the provision of news and features, or information in the expansive company directory section. Launched in 2004, it is the only independent online news provider and information portal for the global industrial gas community and the larger end-user markets. The website also now incorporates news for gasworld US and Specialty Gas Report.
