Kenan Advantage Group, Inc. (KAG) says it has completed the acquisition of Fort Transfer Company, the third acquisition in three months by the truck transporter and logistics provider.
Morton, Illinois-based Fort Transfer is one of the leading liquid bulk chemical carriers and storage companies in the US and as part of the deal KAG will gain 100 tractors, 249 trailers, 158 professional drivers/independent contractors and 45 highly skilled operational personnel.
John Rakoczy, Executive Vice President of KAG Specialty Products, said, “This is a perfect fit for our organisation based on Fort Transfer’s excellent reputation, safety practices, customer service and professional drivers. We expect to leverage the two companies’ combined footprints, driver force, specialised equipment and industry expertise to provide additional services to our combined customer base while also entering new markets.”
