Global industrial gas leader Linde has yet again been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) and DJSI North America Index, marking the 19th consecutive year of its inclusion in the World Index.

It comes after the company’s recent announcement focusing on reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to meet 2035 and 2050 climate goals, considered achievable through breakthrough technologies, services and solutions.

Commenting on the milestone, Sanjiv Lamba, COO, Linde, said, “Linde has a steadfast commitment to ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) and we are proud of our unparalleled track record of inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index.”

Considered a recognition of sustainability policies through S&P Global’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment, the DJSI World Index bases itself on long-term economic, environmental and social criteria, representing the top 10% of the largest 2,500 companies in the S&P Global Broad Market Index.

Recent developments by Linde to further its sustainability drive include the launch of its Linde Green zero carbon liquefied gases range and its provision of liquid hydrogen to one of the world’s first operational hydrogen-powered ferries.
