Adriatic LNG closes for maintenance in August


The Adriatic LNG Terminal will stop production and injection of gas into the Italy national grid from Friday (1 August) and gradually reopen towards the end of the month.

The downtime is necessary to carry out plant modifications to increase regasification capacity from 9.6 billion cubic metres (cbm) to 10.4 billion cbm and carry out scheduled maintenance work.

In a social media post, Adriatic LNG said the interventions “are essential to continue to guarantee the integrity and reliability of our infrastructure and make it increasingly strategic for Italy and Europe.”

In the first half of 2025, it injected 4.5 billion cbm of gas into the network, up 2.2% on 2024.
