Industrial solutions firm Atlas Copco Group is today (21st Feb) celebrating its 150th anniversary by ringing the opening bell at NASDAQ in New York City.
Atlas Copco’s listing on the stockmarket index marks the start of what the company hopes to be a memorable 2023 as it continues to grow its global network.
Coinciding with its NASDAQ listing, the group’s employee-led clean drinking water organisation, Water for All, will also make its largest ever single donation of $150,000 for an Ethiopia-based project.
Over the last 12 years, Atlas Copco’s US Water for All programme has supported over 60 projects across 25 countries and helped several hundred thousand people gain access to clean water, donating over $2.5m in the process. For ever dollar an employee donates, Atlas Copco adds another two dollars: a double match.
