Blue Star Helium has appointed Gregg Peters, Chief Operating Officer at the Edelgas Group, as a non-executive Director.
Prior to serving for the Edelgas Group, Peters was a helium director at Linde, where he managed all aspects of commercial helium operations, including price strategy, contracting, client portfolios, and supply system development.
He also spent six years as director of industrial gas for Praxair’s packaged gas business, responsible for the financial performance and development of all gas products, including atmospherics, fuel gases, and CO2, and the expansion of the microbulk initiative.
Trent Spry, Managing Director for Blue Star, said he is pleased to welcome Peters to the team at a time when the company is moving towards targeted production from its high-grade Voyager helium project and advancing commercialisation pathways for its Galactica/Pegasus discoveries.
He added, “Both Peters and I are equally excited about the potential of our existing exploration portfolio and additional future developments of new potential resource discoveries from our existing exploration portfolio and beyond.”
Just last week, Blue Star Helium said it will upgrade its development well design, incorporating valuable insights gained from neighbouring drilling activities near its Galactica and Pegasus discoveries in Colorado.
It is hoped the decision will optimise production. The announcement was made after careful consideration of engineering advice and insights into flow modelling and pressure draw-down considerations.

With Peters’ appointment representing the addition of a second independent non-executive director to the Blue Star Board, Ross Warner has elected to step down from the Board effective 10th September 2023.
Mr Neil Rinaldi will assume the role of Non-Executive Chairman. Rinaldi has been a non-executive director of the Company since April 2021.
Warner will remain with the Company in the executive role of President, Commercial and Legal.
