Carbon specialist CarboTech will exhibit its product line for biogas applications at the upcoming Biogas Americas trade fair taking between May 13th – 16th.
The company’s activated carbon solution helps to make biogas usable as a sustainable green energy source. The product is used to remove hydrogen sulphide, siloxanes and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from biogas.
During upgrading, the activated carbon also ensures that carbon dioxide (CO2) is removed, and the biogas is upgraded to biomethane.
The process involves combining activated carbon with a molecular sieve, which essentially filters out the unwanted CO2.
