UK-based energy services and solutions company Centrica has signed a long-term sales and purchase agreement with Delfin Midstream for one million tonnes per annum of liquified natural gas (LNG).
Signed today (11th July), the $8bn agreement will see Delfin Midstream supply Centrica with 14 LNG cargoes per year from its Louisiana-based Delfin LNG project for 15-years on a free on-board basis.
The product could provide enough energy to heat 5% of UK homes for 15 years.
