Climeworks rolls out DAC pilot project in Saudi Arabia

Swiss direct air capture specialist Climeworks has launched a live demonstration of its DAC testing unit at the KAPSARC site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This includes the Saudi Green Initiative, which has set a goal to reduce carbon emissions by 278 million tonnes annually by 2030, and a plan to invest $187bn in renewable energy projects to advance its pursuit of reaching net-zero by 2060.
